Samsung Galaxy Tab AT&T S2 gets Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update
Carrier-branded devices always take a while
to get their updates, so it wasn’t a surprise
to see the WiFi-only Samsung Galaxy Tab S2
get Android Marshmallow before AT&T’s. But
things were a bit more annoying in this case
because Verizon beat them by well over a month !.
Don’t you worry, though, it is time for AT&T
Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 users to celebrate,
as the update to Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow
is now rolling out. All eyes are on Android
Nougat as we approach the end of the year,
but there is a lot to get from Marshmallow.
Improvements include granular permissions,
Google Now on Tap, adaptable storage, Doze
mode and more. The update also comes with
some device-specific improvements, such as
the ability to make regular voice calls.
You can learn all about these capabilities in
our Android 6.0 Marshmallow features post.
As for the update process, just be prepared
with enough battery and a WiFi connection,
because it weighs about 1 GB.
Have any of you guys gotten the update
notification? Please hit the comments to let
us know how Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow is
treating you. If you haven’t gotten the update
yet, be patient. Remember these OTA
upgrades tend to roll out periodically.
Alternatively, you can continue checking for
updates in the settings.
