A Judge Of Customary Court Appeal In Kogi State Kidnapped
A judge of the Customary Court of Appeal in Kogi State has been kidnapped along Eika-Itakpe road.
Ishaq Usman, who was on his way back to Lokoja from Okene were he went to spend the weekend with his family was abducted around 3:00pm on Sunday while his orderly was killed.
The driver to the Judge, who was said to have been shot at, has been unconscious and receiving treatment at the Okene general hospital.
Confirming the incident to Channels Television’s Lokoja correspondent, a staff of the judiciary said that the judge hail from Okene, and was on his way back to Lokoja before he was abducted.
This is not the first time judges are being kidnapped in Kogi State.
In May, two judges were kidnapped and were said to have regained freedom after payment of ransom.
